Tee off for Conservation!

Plans are now underway for the Essex Region Conservation Foundation's (ERCF) 22nd Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament. This year, the tournament will be held once again at the spectacular Ambassador Golf Club, located at 1025 Sprucewood Avenue, Windsor N9J 3Z1. Mark your calendar for Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 12:30 pm to tee off for conservation! Thanks to the support of the local community, last year's tournament was successful in raising almost $30,000 for the protection of our regions natural resources!

All proceeds from the tournament help support the protection and restoration of environmentally sensitive and important habitat throughout the Essex Region. As a result of past success, the Chrysler Canada Greenway and LaSalle Woods have already been protected for generations to come. All proceeds from this tournament support the protection of sustainable natural resources of the Essex Region.

The event has proven to be an exciting day in the past - and is a great opportunity to golf at one of the region's finest courses and enjoy a delicious dinner, while supporting a very worthwhile cause. We will again feature live and silent auctions with attractive and amazing gifts. In addition, prizes will be awarded for those who hit closest to the pin, succeed in the longest drive, and putt to success! Exciting hole in one prizes will be announced shortly, and as always, we intend to have some new surprises for our loyal participants.

Tournament Dress Code:

No Denim. Standard golf attire with a collared or mock neck shirt are acceptable. Soft spikes are required. Women may wear sleeveless shirts with a collar. Women's shirts with sleeves do not require a collar.

Directions to the event

From the Ambassador Bridge, Windsor follow Riverside Drive going West, which becomes Sandwich Street and then Ojibway Parkway. Head south on Ojibway Parkway. Turn left onto Sprucewood Avenue and you will find the Ambassador on the right hand side.

Or, if you are heading west along the 401 take the Dougall Avenue exit and turn left at Cabana Road West. Follow Cabana Road West until it crosses Huron Church Road and becomes Todd Lane. At the end of Todd Lane, turn left on Malden Road and take the second right onto Sprucewood Avenue. The Ambassador Golf Club will be found on the left hand side opposite Windsor Raceway.
