All funds raised through membership in the Friends of Conservation help support local environmental initiatives in the Essex Region including:
- Protection of the Spring Garden Prairie
- Further protection of Cedar Creek
- Heritage Conservation at the John R. Park Homestead
- Long term protection of other significant natural areas
- Improved facilities and habitat restoration at regional conservation areas
