Amherstburg - Essex Greenway
|
Because of the success of the initial Greenway trail, in 2001, CN donated an additional 26 kilometre stretch of abandoned rail line that stretches from Amherstburg to the urban centre of Essex and intersects with the existing Chrysler Canada Greenway. In 2007, a one kilometre paved, accessible trail connecting to Sadler's Pond Park in the Town of Essex was created as the most northerly community entrance for this section of Greenway. ERCA is currently working toward raising the funds to complete the additional sections of this beautiful trail, bringing our vision of a region connected by trails one step closer to reality.
