Managed forests are worth some cash!

The Ontario Forestry Association is hosting a free woodlot management workshop at the Essex Civic Centre on Thursday, November 23rd, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The workshop is being hosted in partnership with the Trees Ontario Foundation, Essex Region Conservation Authority and the Essex County Stewardship Network. This is the final 2006 workshop of a province-wide, 15 location tour that has already been attended by more than 600 people.

The workshop will show you how to apply for tax relief under the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program and help you set objectives for your property, prepare a forest stewardship plan and identify local resources to assist you in achieving your management goals. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended.
